Not to be smart but in today's world, Matching #'s means just that and no longer has anything to do w/ Original Engines. Yes, even though the whole #'s match thing began w/ checking engine and other #'s to see if original parts or not, best always consider the above...especially whenever #'s claims are made without specific reference to engine originality.
