Marlin,
Its not the key switch you want to change its the switch assembly on top of the steering column. The key assembly when in the run position and cranking moves a rod that actuates the ignition switch assembly contacts. Drop the column down unplug the connectors, 2 5/16 bolts, remove and replace, pretty straight forward.
