Use the flame arrestor breather. I used them on my race car for many years after I saw Grump using them on his Vega. No issues with them.

I'm with Sam there. Run the flame factory type arrestor since you mentioned you have one? I think I might have a template kit for the hole in the base if you need one. Easy to drill that and mount the arrestor.

I think you might have less issue if you ditch that fuel log and run a conventional set of hard lines? Just saying.

What hood are you running with that tall breather? Fiberglass Crossram hood?
