Of the 37, 8 are found. There is 1 later conversion, but that's another story...
Of the 8 found, 6 are believed to be 427 conversions Of the 6 claimed to be converted - 1 has good documentation (Yenko Bulletin, and vintage photo with 427 emblems) - 2 have good photo documentation (original photos with 427 emblems and stripes, and original owner confirmation) - 1 has decent heresay support, and emblem holes that matched up - 2 have very little support to my knowledge I think a lot of folks would be surprised to know how many cars were actually converted, there's more info out there than you think - for example, when someone sends you a copy of an original YENKO window stick for a Lemans Blue, 427 converted, 4 speed, 4.10 rear Nova sold new from Gates in Mishawauka....it's kind of a big deal!! Warren has nothing for this car, bummer ![]()

I have a friend who took a brown colored Yenko sYc 427 Nova for a test drive. He could have bought it for like $275 down and then $121 a month. Only thing stopping him was the letter he received in the mail - draft notice! Then it was off to Germany to serve his country. He also knew Don personally as Don has / had family in the Clarion area.
