12 Bolt 4.88 Ring & Pinion 3862516/3862528
I have a used but nice set of GM 4.88 12 bolt gears
The pinion part number is 3862516 and dated 2/69 The ring gear part number 3862528 and dated 4/70 I believe the GM part number is 3961404 The teeth count is 39/8 These gears came out of a 1971 Camaro. The ring gear has a small chip on the heal of the gears....it doesn’t affect anything but just wanted to disclose that. PM me for pictures. $125 +shipping Thanks SYC, Kurt

Hi Kurt, questions, how many miles do you believe are on the gears and a 12 bolt in a '71 Camaro. Was it a transplanted rear end? Thanks DH

Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of information on the gears. I purchased them from a local guy who was building the Camaro in to a pro touring car. He pulled the 4.88 gears out and installed a more street friendly gear.
