My Hot Rod magazine was from September of 1971.
I’m not sure when they switched from the chrome reverse lever to the round one but I don’t think it was more than a year or two and yes, they are interchangeable. As a matter of fact, I purchased a parts Ram Rod for just that reason, for the next time I pull the trans/shifter, I will swap out the round reverse lever for the chrome one. Crash is the man if you want someone to rebuild one. He has everything to do it and do it right along with good information on these shifters. Kurt
