Both the Fletcher's had killer cars back in the day and yes it was one of the fastest. There was another guy named Fred who had an amazingly fast maroon colored 440 V code GTX that ran in the 10's that I paired off with a few times in a Brazier built Vega that I used to have. The late 70's to early 80's had many 10 second cars running the streets of Winnipeg, but now days there are guys like Sheldon from Motion that are running 7 second door cars on the street. Gotta love that it still happens in Winnipeg!

Sounds like you and I have some of the same memories from back in the day. Sheldon has had some very fast cars over the years and is currently running a Turbo'd LS Chevy II Nova. I have a fairly quick car that runs in the high 9's and I don't consider myselfnot a player. You need to run in the mid to low 8's on Portage Ave now a days!!
