How do you go about this without it showing?

You'd have to ask William. I don't know how much time he spends here, but he's always over on CRG and camaros.net.
It's just plastic though. I'm sure if you were careful you could cut a majority of it off and then polish the rest. If it's an older one, it would probably be a lot harder to match the rest of it.
