Which adhesive used depends on the type of material you are gluing. Vinyl top, headliner, foam, etc. We also use the Dap adhesive for headliners as it is readily available and have had good luck with it. My past upholsterer used a different commercial grade gun adhesive but I do not recall what it was. The 3M77 and/or 3M90 spray can adhesives are so so for the home DIY'er but I have to order 3M90 as no one carries it around here. However and again I do not suggest using it if you can avoid it as long term can be an issue.
