I received this PM today about the shifter boot that I have for sale:
“Hi Kurt, Just read your ad for the shifter and boot. I have here, 3, what I believe to be oem boots, 1 of which is a survivor out of a car that hasn't seen duty since '74. All of them have 5 ribs. Not sure where this info. started about the 3 rib version. I've never seen one. I'm fairly confident all 3 are assembly line versions but anything's possible. It's highly possible chevy had more than 1 supplier of these boots which may shed some light also.” On a side note, I know I have seen the 3 rib and have been told that it is the correct one but I still want to share the Pam above just for conversation and possibly another scenario.
