Sounds like a gift to me. I ran a very similar combo back in the ‘80s. Mine had pink rods and heavily worked 461 heads; ran 10.30s at a buck 136 in a ‘68 Camaro that weighed 2860 with me in it. Ran the same bottom end for 7 seasons without touching it (couldn’t afford to). I was still running a magneto and footbraking! TH400 and 5.57s.
Leaked it every season and it was good. I’d say with a little TLC that engine could be a nice little combo in a light car. Just curious, why did you remove the roller?
