The largest engine in the Yukon XL is the 5.3 however if you buy the Denali edition you get the 6.2 L V8. The 2018 will have a 10 speed trans. I am not convinced the Ford Ecoboost is tough enough in the long term. I see you are living on the East Coast and may encounter a trip across the Appellation range or into the Great Smokeys and you will wish you had the V8. I have a 2003 Yukon XL 2500 with Quadrasteer. Its the best dam towing vehicle on the planet, The Quadrssteer feature is the reason I still have it and not bought something Newer.
