Default Auto Gear M22W 4 Speed Transmission As New Super Heavy Duty!

This is an Autogear M22W 4 speed transmission. This trans has the straighter cut M-22 style gears with a wide ratio 2.52 first gear. This transmission was bought new for a 1969 Camaro with a Big Block Chevy engine. The car was built and made into a running/driving car but was never fully finished. The Camaro went to a new owner who decided they wanted a LS style engine and 6 speed transmission. The engine and trans were pulled with no real drive time and sold to help fund the new drivetrain for the Camaro. This transmission is as new.

I had never seen one of these Auto Gear transmissions in person before this one. This is one beefy transmission! All the weak points of a Muncie look to have been solved when this trans was designed. The Auto Gear Supercase has extra casting in all the known weak areas. The cluster pin looks to be 1 1/2 inches in diameter. The mid plate is steel. The tail housing is also massive as shown. This trans looks as new inside and out.

$1650 plus shipping

Bulletproof transmissions that are very well built and use Antonio Maseiro (Italy) gears and premium parts throughout. New they are $2600-$2800 so that is a great deal for sure.
