Default 1969 Corvette 350/350 Roadster 4 speed w / Air 64K Miles

I bought this car last year from the son of the original owner. It sat idle for 32 years as it was last driven in 1984. It is an all original body panel car with one lacquer repaint in 1980 by the Chevrolet dealer where it was bought new. All original interior except for seat covers and they were done with GM 1968 covers when the car was painted.

The wife of the original owner worked for GMAC when the they bought the car in late 1968 and the son referred to the car as a "Brass Hat" car. I really don't know about that claim but it is a very nicely optioned roadster with the 350/350 engine, 4 speed, factory air, power windows, transistor ignition, fender louvers, rally wheels, am/fm.

Since i bought the car the original engine was completely rebuilt to factory specs, rebuilt the original transmission, all new fuel system including tank, pump and rebuilt original carb, entirely new brake system including booster, master cylinder, brake lines and calipers rebuilt by Lonestar, new cooling system including radiator, water pump and all hoses and belts, new clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing.

The entire driveline is original to the car and most original engine components are still there. The interior is completely original, with the exception of the seat covers, and is very nice.

The car runs and drives but still needs new tires as they are about 40 years old and badly cracked. I felt I should leave the tire choice to a new owner in case the wheels were also going to be changed. All 5 original rally wheels are with the car and the original spare has never seen the road.

The hardtop has one small place that needs repair. There is no soft top and according to the son there never was. The oil pressure gauge didn't work when it came back from the shop and the guy that reinstalled the engine / trans lost the speedometer gear so that needs to be taken care of. There are a few chips in the paint. I have all of the missing pieces on the engine including all ignition shielding, original a/c compressor and brackets, all original smog equipment and the original air cleaner.

This is a super nice car for it's age and borders on the "survivor" title. It is 100% rust free with a fabulous frame. All brightwork is original and in nice driver condition. Nice car to drive and enjoy or a perfect candidate for a frame off restoration for NCRS or Bloomington standards.

Asking $27,500

Beautiful Vette. These are so underrated IMO. Interesting about no soft top. So is there no mechanism or soft top frame or anything? GLWS.

Can't imagine there is no soft top under the rear cover -- that is sure different. Looks like water pump has been replaced and a $hit-load of flat washers for spacer. The color is striking!! TAZ

Gregg, with the hard top off you can see if it has the release latch/holes for a soft top attachment. If not, it was a hard top only car. It could have been a Brass Hat car and used by an executive for a few months. It then could have been steeply discounted and sold to the GM employee. A tank sticker with the dealer/zone code may help confirm that. I see some interesting GM documents with unusual delivery instructions on them.
