Btw I'm in search of a build sheet... any clues where it might be? Did all 69 novas get one?
The Fisher Body "build sheet" is typically found in the rear seatback...most often on the passenger side. I have found them in other spots like the seat bottom [both front and rear].
On rare occasions paperwork can be found up under the dashboard...stuffed behind the radio/glove box area...on some Novas, I have found trim cards under the carpeting.

In all cases, use caution as the paperwork may be brittle...take your time removing it, especially if it is attached to the springs of the seats.

Good luck..wilma

Thx Tom
Is it possible that some did not get any paperwork stuffed in them?

Unlikely it will be under burlap...the seat components were staged for the assembly line...workers referenced the Fisher Body sheets and pulled the correct color/trim level items. Sometimes you will find multiple sheets in the same car...sometimes the document will be for another car. Since std. black interiors were so common, you often see this with these components.

Many times the paperwork was simply discarded...back then those boys never thought we would be looking for these documents.

The body sequence number on the Fisher Body sheet should match the cowl tag.
