My car came new with buckets no console. (and I really like this) I bought the top plate as I love the look of the 1969 Cutlass/442 console and it was available:-) I have three transmissions, three different shifters, and two or three different boots, so it seems I should have console and no console options:-) I want to modify the tunnel and hump for all these different options ahead of time, and hope the console will work with the RamRod. I can imagine the RamRod would look pretty cool hanging out of the original console:-) Ryan PS: The console base is quite expensive repop so I hope to find a broken inexpensive base (unwanted) to repair.
