I like the vintage Tachs, they are on the someday list.

My ignition has a rev limiter built in. Crane XRi:-) I will set it low and work my way up:-)

Nice progress!

The 68-69 Olds dash has unique challenges and opportunities. I've tried mocking up an old S-W tach on my column, and it doesn't fit well because of the dash pad shape, unless you put it right in front of the speedometer or clock it nearly 90 degrees down on each side. I used to have pics but can't find them. However, the monster tach conveniently slides into the gauge cup area, and it's really hard to notice from outside the car because of how deep the gauge holes are. It definitely will make you more excited to drive it than a dash clock...

On my 69' W-30, I installed a tach in the far RH instrument cove ... came out pretty nice ... TAZ

I have seen a few 1969 F85/Cutlass S with this tach in the side dash pod.

Looks pretty cool to me:-)

Hope it doesn't work how my XRi did. I yanked it and no more bizarre electrical issues. I have heard from others the built in rev limiter is off by 500rpm

I hope so too.

Dan Jensen did the ignition top to bottom and recommended the crane unit. Can't wait to be finding out what makes the most horsepower vs what grinds the best:-)

PS: Update: I have a welder (machine/gas/Helmut/etc) ready to pick up so I can start small repairs:-) Not sure of the Easter bunny will keep us busy every second of the weekend....

Easter family dinner at our place, we lit a candle for my Dad.

Today was a hard day for my Mom, my wife, my kids, my Grandma (Dad's Mom) and a hard day for me:-(

We will keep lighting a candle and keep the memories close to our hearts.

I bought the Moog springs from Danny T's new SS3396:-)

Also bought a console cover (the guy I bought it from has a few very cool Oldsmobiles) the plate is for a 3 speed, who would get the manual trans, pay for a console and not upgrade to 4 speed?
