Mobil 1 always advertised every 25,000 miles or 1 year back in the late 70's into the 80's. You just change your filter every 5000 miles and add a qt. of Mobil 1.

So my Q is -- what is a "high mileage" filter as indicated by the folks a Mobil 1? Something here doesn't compute IMO ... TAZ

Why not do the oil change also. If it's a restored or survivor, how many miles are you gonna put on it in a year? $ 30-40 dollars for 5-6 quarts of oil. I think we could all handle that.
