I have been in contact with Howard.
He sent me a photo of the original title (dated June 27, 1969), and yes it's the same Black 1969 Chevelle SS (same VIN) that I own today. I never dreamed that I'd find the original owner of the car... or that the original owner would actually find me! He told me "I thought I had the final invoice on the car with all the Norwood installations but can't for the life of me find it. I know it cost $6400.00 in 1969. Big $." He also asked me "If you ever want to sell it and I'm still alive please let me know." Rest assured Howard, if I ever decide to sell the car I will call you first! I also hope you find the original Norwood invoice and paperwork. Keep in touch! |

Wow and this statement sure sounds like a good possibility the car was delivered new w/ 427 already installed, not 396 and 427 later added? Especially if true, Howard please find that Invoice! Amazing stuff Helmut!!! ![]() ~ Pete .
