I am a LEGENDARY interiors dealer and can supply the best reproduction interior
for any Camaro........ 1971 792 Interior was Black with Saddle Accents, Custom Cloth I could ask LEGENDARY if they will make you 1970 Front seat covers from their 1971 792 material.......At this point I dont know if they have the material or would buy from SMS and then mfg the covers ??? The pics below dont "look" like 792 with Bks/cc....Please explain the above pics After a closer look at a rare 792 are there BLACK threads "Accents" amongst the mostly Saddle Cloth Material ???? I'm also interested to research if the CARPETED HUMP (between rear seats) is correct?? ....As I'm thinking it should be a Saddle VINYL material.... Do you know if this interior is the born with interior or has interior been restored ???

Thanks to all that commented. It is nice to see the response and I appreciate the compliments!
I guess I should start out with saying that I too am crazy about originality and truely support the correct, assembly line option list, finish and look. This can be supported by the last two cars I restored. I have not had the opportunity to get the Camaro home just yet, and trust me, I want it here in my shop. It was a Canadian sold car therefor the GM doc's are available. I am told the car is an original 45,000 mile car that was restored back in the early nineties. As far as what was replaced interior wise, I am not sure yet at this point. I will post some more pics when she is home. Having said that, I am just looking to satisfy a seat combination that I desire more, which happens to be the low back 70 style seat. If I do switch out the seats, rest assure that they will end up on the shelf, never to be seperated from the car. Maybe I can contact you Chuck to discuss some options and also contact SMS and see what they have to offer as well. Paul |

SMS is a great source for the material but beware that not all the materials they have as NOS are the same. For example when I needed a section of the medium saddle tan naugahyde for Gramma's '75 Firebird seat for an abrasion where the seat belt buckle rubbed, they had the exact date coded vinyl but when it arrived it was the canvas backed (non-stretchable) vinyl and not the more elastic vinyl I needed for the repair panel. The material they had was what the factpry made the welting between the panels, with - the vinyl they rolled up a round strip of plastic in.
