Car has a 7K tach and rear wheelwells are trimmed and show evidence of fender flares being there at one time although they have deteriorated and are no longer there. The front end sheetmetal has been changed out to a 73 model. Do you think Yenko might have installed LT-1 engines into Camaros like they did the Novas?

If I remember correctly, and I may not, there was some speculation that the motor was to be a built 400 small blk for a 70. There are pictures of a 70 something Camaro with supposed Yenko heritage that has a lot of what you described. Maybe somebody will post one of those pics. I've only see it. Don't have the pic. I think a couple of members here have it. It may have been a prototype. One of the deuce prototypes probably had a 6cyl in it. Never say never.

Chevy had a prototype 1971 Camaro that was a 400 cu in SB with some LT1 parts and rated at 290hp. It came out in an mag article as a possible 1972 Yenko "Super Z" Camaro but dont't think any were built.

Yenko was working on 1970 COPO 454 LS7 Camaros and ran some ads for them in late 69 but I have not heard of any built as many 1970 Camaro options got the axe under new management.

in 1970 Yenko raced a ZL-1 powered white and blue 1969 Camaro

there are pictures of a 2nd gen Camaro race car Yenko was involved with but I don't think that was in 1970.

Post up a picture of the cowl tag. Usually yenko cars started out as a Muscle car like a L78 Z28. Look into the NCRS paperwork? It will give you the dealer code car the was delivered to A 7k tachometer could be a SS 396 L78 car or a L34 car. Also a tachometer could have been added or special ordered on the car. A 8k tachometer only came in a z28
