If seats are staying put, best cover them w/ drop sheets or something to protect from dirt/filings/sparks...it will get inside no matter how hard you try to stop it happening. And best use fireproof protection where req'd also known/good Fire Extinguishers always ready at hand. Same w/ all glass, get it taped off and protected too as many well intentioned projects have gone awry when later realized that glass has been damaged by grinding/wire wheeling etc. Whatever the individual task, best always stop for a moment and look carefully at the big picture to make sure all areas are protected whether they be chrome/glass/interior parts.
