I had a Ramrod shifter in my 1969 Z11 Camaro back in high school in the late 1970's. You would cringe at the amount of hacksaw butchery that I had to conduct to gain clearance on the drivers side of the transmission hump. Sawed it all the way down to the floor level and peeled it back, then hammered it flat to the floor.
