Default Re: COPOPETE Shootout

I think Pete would be happy to see people out there doing what he loved. And I believe the shootout guys had a blast running them out. Bracket racing without electronics is a pretty equal race even for those who don't do it often.

Maybe, a fitting tribute to a man who loved drag racing. But maybe even more, a lasting memorial to a great guy who left us way to soon. Dru, and Kurt had a good final. But as I said on the Facebook post, Pete would have chuckled, and said, "you're all lucky I wasn't there".

The smiles on Kurt and Dru's faces tell the story. They had FUN. I'm sure Pete enjoyed every second of it. Probably laughing his butt off at some of the 'less-than-perfect' passes. Hopefully, ..... someday, ...... there'll be a Simpson competing in the Shoot Out and, just maybe, that Trophy will rest in Ontario for a while. Yeah, ... that would be pretty cool.
