From time to time during my high school years, I would venture over to York US 30 Dragway which was only about 40 minutes from my home. I was having a conversation with my son recently and I was telling him about one specific trip to York US 30 were I saw a guy with his little street Cobra. He must have done his racing before I arrived as he had the Cobra loaded on a flatbed and ready to leave. This would likely have been in the summer of 1974 and I told my son that all I can remember is that the car was a street car with no racing markings and it may possibly have been gold in color. It was a beautiful car indeed! Would anyone remember this car?

This look like it? Yeah, I know this is a staged picture and the front end is up on jack stands.

HMM had a feature on a Cobra that was painted gold for a while and raced a lot...might be it.
