While waiting to get a baseplate, I thought I would take the opportunity to start preserving the paint. Inspired by Darrel Cook, I clayed the car out, and started the #7 Meguiar's spa treatment.
BEFORE ![]() DURING ![]() ![]() AFTER ![]() The results are somewhat minimal. I certainly can see on the towels where the oxidation from the metallic was being picked up. I have chosen not to proceed with any machine polishing, opting for the natural look of the lacquer. I never would have thought I (or any of us) would spend so much time documenting how lousy the finish quality was on my pride and joy(s) Tim |
