Looking for information on YS8008 "Raffle Car"

Yes Joe ... From what I gather the paperwork is gone. There supposedly was one of our tech support guys that was in charge of it and when he went allegedly so did all of the cars papers. Yes classic does still own the car

I would think they would go after the paperwork.

I agree Charley but I think it is a case of this person &quot;supposedly&quot; had it in his care and now it's gone and so is he. I am on a fact finding mission on my own. Just trying to piece together some of the known history since obviously you guys seem to know a bit more about it than I do. Now that i had a chance to see Dana's gorgeous car I want to try and sort out some of the mess surrounding this one.

The COPO order form is a rare document to have.
One of the magazine articles had a picture of the form.
It was not very clear but I sent a copy to Jim Mattison who said he remembered it and had not seen one since he left the GM COPO F&amp;SO dept.

I agree. I think what happened was whoever made off with them did in such a way that nobody really knows who has them. I guess they were a tad naive that whoever did this would keep them safe. I know if I were entrusted with them they would have safe.

I bet pictures were taken of the documents for the magazine. Wonder if the pictures survive.....

I used to have the &quot;One and only on the Planet&quot; Tshirt and poster.. long gone. I always wondered if that claim was true. I was just talking to Marlin about this car on facebook. Does anyone have a pics of the raffle ad or the old shirt?. It was pretty cool!

I looked through my Camaro Corral / Enthusiast issues for YS 8008 and could only find an ad for the raffle on Classic's center spread. Could someone please tell me what issue and month/year the car was featured in, or the issue the available information is in?
