Bias ply tires hook really good on the strip...check out this 1968 Firebird with Bias-ply tires...the drivers front tire actually comes off the ground, it was a low 10 second pass...check it out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qa27OVizag

----I heard from a reputable source that these guys immerse their tires in "something" that softens and makes them very sticky. Any truth to this???......Bill S
