the location of the tailpipes is certainly interesting ... it looks like they would go right under the gas tank

nope, did not buy it yet. It's pretty buried in the obscure country side, and not going anywhere.
I never got into these, as I always felt there were so many of them. But, as usual, I may be wrong, but thought they made 20K plus of these. It is a flat hood car, wish it had cowl induction.
I am going to check deeper into it, may have to take a loan, not tell wife, all that stuff...or just put a deposit on it to hold it for a long time.
thanks for all the input! Is a short spoiler correct?

Correct, short spoiler car would be a 12B car.

Many questions and pics I would like to get, if possible. What steering wheel?

Back in the mid 70's NASCAR stock cars ran their tail pipes right out the back like on this Z -- prevented drafting ... car behind could not take that heat directly into the radiator. The tail pipe &quot;look&quot; was evident on many muscle cars back then. TAZ
