There were 2 exterior trim packages...

The ZJ2 Custom Exterior Package had the front louvers with chrome edges.

The ZJ5 Exterior Décor Package had body colored front louvers.

Both of these packages were available on any Nova model...the louvers with the chrome edge were also part of the SS option along with the rear panel, SS emblems and hood louvers.

You can read more details at:

Tom, is there any way to tell what came on the car originally?(trim tag?) my car is all primered and cant seen any remaining holes, some holes(like for side marker lights) were filled horribly!

Yes...too a point. The trim tag will have a letter code in the middle eg: &quot;A&quot; for black interior trim. That letter will be followed by the numeral 1, 2 or 3...or in the case of <span style="font-weight: bold">no</span> exterior trim the &quot;A&quot; will be alone.

Start with that and tell me what you have...the ZJ5 option was more common than the ZJ2...the ZJ5 would have the body side moldings and brite window trim. The other item to consider is a vinyl roof...if the paint code is followed by a letter like &quot;B&quot;..then you had a black vinyl roof which would normally receive the drip rail molding.

Lastly, even though the car is in primer and the holes are filled in...there may be indications on the back side of the sheet metal...look in the trunk, inside the door and inside front fenders to see if any remnants of holes or attaching points are visible.

You can also work backwards from the trim tag and install what you want...eg; if you have &quot;A 2&quot; you could easily install the brite window trim and lower rocker moldings and have a correct look...this is easier than creating the mounting pins and holes for the body side molding.

Hope that helps..
