btw, that may just be a mark under the 7, not a 4. How would you fill in the 4 and make the surface look that good?
But I don't think I'd risk my $$ on that one.

I have no idea how the manipulation is done. It is my understanding that heat can be applied and that stamps close up?

There were a couple of guys who got caught restamping OLDs parts for years and selling them off as authentic. I have seen many of the parts and it is not easy to tell on some,
