Bummer and so sorry to hear the news but 89 and what a life he lived!
Such a true icon also someone who's talents and creations touched most of us here that grew up during the George Barris 'King of Customizers' era.
The King is dead...long live the King!

George Barris, the man who designed the 1966 Batman TV series’ Batmobile, has died at the age of 89.

He was surrounded by his family in the comfort of his home. He lived his life they way he wanted til the end. Together with his brother Sam, Barris designed custom vehicles for several Hollywood projects, incuding Norht By Norhtwest, The Munsters, and The Beverly Hillbillies, though none more iconic than his Batmobile, earning him the title “King of Kustomizers.”
