Default Re: 1949 Chevrolet 3100 - V8 Prototype

I took a break from blocking out the dinner table that is the hood, and started to get a '51 3100 I built a few years ago for a friend ready for the Autorama here in Houston the weekend of Thanksgiving. Busy week! MCACN the weekend prior, then the Autorama the weekend after!! SO MUCH FUN!!! So the '51 is was a custom build: boxed frame using my own CNC designed frame rails, Mustang II front end, S-10 4x4 rear axle on custom perches using Mopar 440-Hemi leafs, 5.3 Vortec from an '06 Tahoe, 4L60E trans, PS, PDB, A/C, Tilt, I made the console to have a unique feature using the old Beehive heater cover and installed power ports and the I-Pod jack for the radio in the doors. I designed the bedside wood and it's rolling on Diamondback Radials on 15" Artilley wheels. It's Base/Clear, and I will be cutting and buffing it next week. It needs a few things detailed up before the show, but it's all minor stuff. Not sure what hapenned with the column, but it started to flash rust. Funny, since it's satin with a clear coat. Oh well, time to sand it down and paint it!!! Enjoy!

Cheers
