| Lakewood 3 Point Bolt in Roll Bar

What was the original color(s) when purchased ex a speed shop as we are talking late 60s or 70s before the big box outlets? Where was the Lakewood sticker tag applied as the one I have might still be there under coats of semi-gloss black spray can paint making it difficult to spot?? Bar was in a mid-70s Camaro or Firebird. Thanks in advance gentlemen!! Ted |

Wow Steve, you have some cool stuff there, Bro.! I was going to post pics of my Lakewood that I'm almost positive still wears its "birthday suit". No need to now.

Good afternoon!! What is the best way of getting rattle can paint off the decal without: 1. destroying the decal. 2. rubbing 'til Christmas or Easter. Trying paint thinner with a soft cloth. Anything, or any tricks to accomplish this daunting deed(s) as I have also spray canned an SFI decal on a Pglide safety shield.. Thanks again in advance BIG or others Ted |

I couldn't save mine with "no paint" on it. Found the correct size decals with no ® .... 3 decals over a 3+ year eBay search. Average price about $11 each. The drive shaft loop and shocks share the same size decal. Good luck.....patience

Prob not a whole lot you can do. Most of anything you use will most likely lift the color off the decal. A very low pressure glass bead or media may remove the paint & save the decal, but the best results would hardly be show worthy. BIG |
