It was given to me by the original owner of my '68 RS when I bought it from him 3 years ago. He was home on leave from Vietnam when he bought it new at Grant Chevrolet in Fremont Nebraska ( 10 blocks from my shop ). He took this picture the day he brought it home, "in transits" and all. It's creased because he took it back with him to show all of his buddies. This photo has a lot of mileage on it.
Back to the theme of this post - 1st retail owner took delivery with Torq Thrusts that were installed by the dealer when the owner's son was using it as a demo. It was sold as a new car this way.

The Day 2 wheels of the 1960s were usually 14-inch so the original tires could be used. OEM redlines on 14x6s were common.
