I couldn't see a ZL-1 being replaced at the dealer with an iron block. The ZL-1 option basically doubled the cost of the car,and the only special part was the aluminum block. I know if it were me,I wouldn't care if the service tech had to melt soda cans with a cigarette lighter until it formed a new block,I wouldn't leave the dealer without an aluminum block in the car.
