Took this morning to get the LS shortblock together. After measuring the end play on the crankshaft at 0.008" It was time to throw the slugs in the holes.. Because this engine is being setup for a turbo I gapped the rings at 0.026". Pistons are JE with coatings applied by yours truly, rods are Eagle with ARP rod bolts, rings are Mahle and bearings are King.. The red coating you see on the crank and rods etc is Comp Cams Valve train lube for help with the first dry startup. I also spray down anything internal if the engine will be sitting for any long period of time.
