1974 Mercedes 450SL - $3500

Hi fellow members, this is not a supercar or even a muscle car, but it is a neat old car. This Mercedes 450SL belongs to a close friend of the family and is located North of Boston, Massachusetts. It has been sitting in the garage for a long time and is ready for its next owner. The car is white with a rare dark green interior. The 450SL is fully loaded with power windows, power locks, two tops (soft top and hardtop), air conditioning, cruise control, every luxury item that Mercedes could throw at it. Remember, this is an "old-school" Mercedes, with doors that close like a bank vault and a drivetrain that has been known to go several hundred thousand miles before needing significant overhaul. When new, the car cost more than $50K. Equipped with a V8 and automatic transmission, this Benz is ideal for someone who wants a convertible for Summer and Fall cruising. Because the car hasn't been driven regularly in a few years, it will need a battery charge and other maintenance to be a reliable driver. Nevertheless, it's been well-cared for, senior-citizen-owned, kept out of the elements in a secure garage and will give its new owner much joy. The car ran great before it was parked. As you can see in the pricing guide image, the car is worth way more than the $3,500 we are asking. It's a nice honest old car that will be a lot of fun for someone willing to put a little work in to get it up and running again. This is not a show car, but it would make a really nice driver - a car that you would not be afraid to drive to the ice cream stand or to the beach. With the warm weather upon us, it'll be a fun cruiser. We want the car to go to a good home and have priced it at the "no-brainer" level. If you put in some TLC, this car will be a nice cruiser.
