It's impressive what class racers can do with little 305s. However, those are pretty far removed from your basic "stock" 305.

I agree that these engines get a bad rap. They respond to all the same stuff that works on a 350. The biggest downfall is the small bore that shrouds the valve and hurts breathing capability.
