I was going to ask about a Vin stamping too also welcome aboard TS!
Besides deck pad, have you looked the complete block over closely for other stampings also is there an extra digit in the # you posted above...the I after the first T perhaps?
Great find either way but if Vinless and genuine, it's destiny must certainly be with one of the original cars?

Sorry the stamp is T0924IT, fat fingered error. The engine was used by Hilborn Injection as a test engine for there injection systems. It was purchased by a drag racer that knew Stuart Hilborn in 1969 and stored until I bought it earlier this year. I have restored Corvettes since 1977. The pad looks good to me and as I said I had it looked at by others perhaps more qualified and they said it was fine.
