I was going to ask about a Vin stamping too also welcome aboard TS! Besides deck pad, have you looked the complete block over closely for other stampings also is there an extra digit in the # you posted above...the I after the first T perhaps? Great find either way but if Vinless and genuine, it's destiny must certainly be with one of the original cars? [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif[/img] ~ Pete

Sorry the stamp is T0924IT, fat fingered error. The engine was used by Hilborn Injection as a test engine for there injection systems. It was purchased by a drag racer that knew Stuart Hilborn in 1969 and stored until I bought it earlier this year. I have restored Corvettes since 1977. The pad looks good to me and as I said I had it looked at by others perhaps more qualified and they said it was fine.
