Wishful thinking.

The 1st gen cars are out handled and out run in the 1/4, and top end by the 3rd and 4th gen cars.

The 1st gen Z/28 gets it over on the later cars in the resale value department by a longshot.

I had an '87 Iroc Z with the 245 horse 350 TPI and automatic, and it was scary fast. My son and I recently bought a 2001 345 horse LS1 WS6 Trans AM, 6-speed and that is even crazier. Not a big fan of the plastic interior but the drivetrain and handling are simply amazing.
