Thanks...update for tonight...

We are still in the hospital... On the cardiac floor. All the docs came in today, and none of the cultures that they took have grown anything. The doctor who installed the port came in and took a look at the infection... And removed the last stitch from the surgical area. The infectious disease docs are sure that the infection is staph..and that it's limited to the outside of her body (which is good). Hoping to get some good news from the docs...tomorrow am.
