So let's figure out this rear end!
Jamie and I jacked her up nice and high, pulled the fill plug, and the diff cover. I was careful not to hurt the posi tag! 3.42:1 gears!! posi!! We counted the pinion gear has 12 teeth and the ring gear has 41 teeth, just as the GM docs and our masking tape calculations suggested. So the Dealer BOS was wrong:-) and Al thought they were 3.91 gears all this time. You can see orange daubs on the right side of the carrier. You can see a white daub and yellow marks on the ring gear Ryan
