Couldn't resist today...

You know Jake, Nassau Blue just might be the prettiest color Chevy had in '62. I can remember when you hardly ever saw one, then within the last 10 years or so, they seemed to pop up here and there. (AND they're almost ALL 409 cars!)
I hope to have mine out by the end of this year.

Verne : Cousin Eddy picked out this color when he ordered the car from Brigance Chevrolet. It was in November of '61. I was there with him and his father, and every time the salesman asked my uncle what option he wanted, he would point to Cousin Eddy and say, &quot;whatever the kid wants&quot;! The car was built in Janesville, the third week of January, and delivered to him in February. The first time we saw it, I almost fell to the ground--it was that beautiful! Cousin Eddy never waivered--the first time he saw that color he said, &quot;My 409 will be that color, I'll call it the Blue Devil&quot;!

Eddie was luckier than the original owner of mine. His father bought the car for him when he was still 16 but wouldn't let him get the 2x4 engine, &quot;just&quot; the 380hp. But before the end of '62 he converted it to 2x4s and it stayed that way all its life.
