68 Chevelle hood hinge

Need a nice used pair ( no slop ) of 68 hood hinges for my 69 Malibu (early car). Upper bolt spacing is 12 3/4" there differant than 69 and later.

I believe I have a pair of 68 NOS hinges somewhere hidden in my stash. If I get a free minute this weekend I'll see if I can find them. I moved last summer and haven't got the garage in order yet.

I might have a used set if chevyman cant't find his. Can I ask how early your 69 is? I didn't know they used 68's on the 69 models. Dustin

It is a 08D BAL car vin 01833, most likley built the first few day's of production ? And yes the hood and hinges are 68. So is the upper hood latch assy. A few other little 68 things I don't recall at the moment.

Looks like my search is over. My buddy Phil Woj was at the Medina Oh swap meet this morning and found a nice take off pair a guy had from his 68 Chevelle.

Couple years ago I bought a ss hood of a guys black 69 ss elcamino that he bought brand new in 69 swore over he phone it was a 69 hood and when I went to buy it it was a 68 hood. His explanation was that hood was on my 69 when I picked it off the lot.
