This is Baltimore before Harborplace. The USF&G skyscraper is being built.

I was wondering where some of these shots were taken. Been a long time since that shot was taken.

Great pics, thanks for posting!

This series you posted is definitely from the 1964 World's Fair in NYC. Check out the Chrysler building in the background with the pentastar emblems for the roof segments! The giant Uniroyal tire ended up in Michigan after the show. Walt Disney was involved with the 1964 NY World's Fair, and in fact his dinosaurs were a huge hit. They ended up in Epcot Center as the popular Universe Of Energy ride.

Ford had an incredible display, including a skyway where real Ford cars were used in a ride that carted you around on a elevated platform. Millions of people rode the Ford ride during the World's Fair.

Wow, pulling a travel trailer with a 6 banger 63 Bel Air? Probably not recommended by Chevrolet

Cool pictures, Rick.

My dad took tons of pictures, too, and also all in slide form. My next younger brother 'inherited' all our family's slides. There were quite a few cool car pictures in them since he took me to a number of car events back in the early to mid 60's.

Thanks Bill. My dad liked taking pics with family members standing in the middle of a scene. I skipped over quite a few labeled "Watkins Glen" but they were shot in some heavily wooded area with not much to see. He was not much into cars, having bought that strippo '63 Bel Air equipped with a 6 cylinder and 3 on he tree with no radio. Cool car, but it was HOT on those road trips! Then he bought that '69 Impala sport sedan with a 250 6 cylinder and three on the tree, but this car had an AM radio! Another hot one on road trips.
