Cool question, as some are....
one solution I found for some of you guys with a sticky one is : Freeze it for 3-4 days, as it warms at room temperature wipe it in one direction with a Lint Free cloth wet with Brake fluid or Automatic trans fluid.... .carefully..!....
buff it dry after 4-5 minutes and do it again. The sticky may always be there but you're actually sealing the vinyl from decomposition....... as needed rub lightly periodically..... a sealer wax , like HD floor wax may help to after the fluids dry.
If anyone else has a better way, please chime in... and help out
