Default Re: I'VE HAD IT WITH PEOPLE AT CAR CRUISES

Here's my two cents.

Went to a show yesterday and parked in what I thought was a good spot in "Chevy Country"

Got all set up and headed out to look at the talent and scout for some parts.

Came back three hours later to find that the folks across the aisle from me had built a fire and crop dusted my car with a nice coating of ash.

Seems like bon fires with hot embers floating it the air isn't such a good idea for a show.. JMO...

Quite a few years ago, a good friend of mine took his fully restored rolling chassis (with complete 409 driveline) to a national convention (emphasis on national convention). IT was parked with the other show cars in an underground garage. One of the principals of the organization set up a barbeque grill not 5ft away from his chassis and proceeded to cook burgers and dogs for everyone. Not only was the entire chassis coated with grease, but people used the tires and frame rails to sit on while eating.
After all, it wasn't really a CAR was it??
