I don't think it matters what anyone else thinks about it. All that matters is whether you want the car to present itself as it was built or better than that. Do you want to bring it back to "as delivered" so future generations can see an example of what the assembly plant produced or do you just want more points and perfection?

It's not about "you" (the owner); it's about the car itself and whether its history is preserved or not. The car will be around a long after you are gone (and I use "you" in a general sense, not pointing to any one person)

That's just my outlook and I'm sorry if that upsets anyone.
