Rick, from what I've read on Facebook.....he had his lap belt on but slipped through it. But I don't know that for sure.
If the lap belt story is true, he's not too smart cause that car looked to be really fast and a lap belt wasn't sufficient. Now, I race with only a lap belt but my car's a slug compared to that '55. Kurt
